Dr. Craven and Dr. Parker subscribe to the latest industry journals to keep tabs on research and development in the dental industry. They also take time on a regular basis for continuing education, and ensures their staff does the same. As a team and as individuals, our office makes it our responsibility to be familiar with the latest techniques and materials available.
The Doctors and staff take time to attend many continuing education courses. Dr. Craven is involved in the Spokane District Dental Society, the Meridian Study club and the Woman’s Professional Dental Study club.

On average, a healthy adult person typically benefits from a professional cleaning and check up every six months. While twice daily brushing and daily flossing go a long way towards maintaining a healthy mouth, it is wise to check for plaque that has hardened into tartar, requiring professional cleaning to avoid gingivitis.

Believe it or not, children should have their first dental visit about six months after their primary teeth have erupted, or generally around their first birthday. First of all, this provides the dental professional an opportunity to spot and prevent any potential oral health/dental problems. It also gives the child a positive, non-threatening dental office experience.

Our office accepts nearly all of the major insurance plans. Also, we’re well-versed in the latest coverage trends, and are more than happy to discuss the particulars of your plan with you prior to any treatments you may undergo.

We make every effort to accommodate you by making appointment times to fit your schedule. However, we wish that you respect Dr. Craven and Dr. Parker and their staff by keeping your appointments. Last minute cancellations or rescheduling of appointments causes hardships for all of us and we believe that an appointment is a commitment. We will require a 48 hour notice if you must cancel or reschedule, otherwise the charge for a broken appointment is $75.00.

If your temporary crown comes off or breaks, carefully wrap up the piece(s), place it into a protective container, and call our office to schedule an appointment for Dr. Parker or Dr. Craven to re-apply it as soon as possible. If the temporary crown is intact, place a little vaseline onto the temporary and gently bite back into position. This will often hold the temporary in place until you can get back into our office.
